Charles has been using C++ since 1994 to develop embedded systems for telecommunications equipment, and for scientific and industrial instrumentation. He has written class libraries that wrap Real-Time Operating Systems, hardware abstraction layers for microcontrollers, and various communication protocol stacks. Charles is a member of the EtherCAT Technology Group's Semiconductor Technical Working Group, contributing to its Vacuum Pressure Gauge Device Profile. He lives in Colorado.
